We've long recognised the need to speed up performance in the workplace. In fact we created Websend to do just that and it's been a godsend to users who wanted an easy to use, yet powerful system that didn't require the user to ante up for expensive software.

The next evolution of Websend coincidentally follows the next evolution of the internet - to finally bridge the gap between the web and the desktop. We call it Web 2.5 and it promises to bring together the real-time interaction and collaboration of the web, with the speed, functionality and power of desktop software.

iQ Pro is a desktop view of the Websend core services, so all the management you did in the web browser you can now do faster on the desktop. Cool.



Faster, more functional, easier

iQ Pro doesn't just make things faster and easier (as if that wasn't enough), you can now do more. Tired of filling out the same job ticket every time? Now you can re-use your job tickets as templates and just alter the details. Want to send multiple files in the background as you work? iQ Pro sends as many as you like while you work and because they're resumable uploads, you can stop at any time and re-start uploading when it suits you. Like to print all the jobs in a week (or a day or a year)? You can, by selecting as many tickets as you want and pressing the print button or 'command-p' on your keyboard.

iQ Pro also lets you create artwork templates in Adobe InDesign CS, CS2, & CS3, as well as Quark Xpress. So when you've create your job ticket, 'click build' to have iQ Pro automatically create your ad in any of these software applications.

We could also go on about the enhanced, blindingly fast search abilities of iQ Pro, pre-configurable filters, access to a permanent archive of every ad you ever sent, or the fully integrated media database, or XMP support, or it's ability to integrate into your own management system, but we think what's really cool is our plugin ...



InDesign CS3 plugin

iQ Pro comes with a plugin that works in real-time to allow you to create perfectly sized artwork. Just select your publication and section, your column width (or module or page size) and enter your depth. Bingo! there's your ad base set up in Adobe InDesign CS3 complete with bleed, trim and type area guides already set up. When you've finished your ad, just select 'export to Websend' and iQ Pro will ensure your output settings match the publication you're sending to.

You can also use the iQ Pro plugin to re-size existing artwork. Just open your InDesign file, choose a destination, enter the columns and depth and your ad will be converted to the correct size. Move your images and text around and click 'send'. It's that easy.

Enterprise software for efficient business

iQ Pro is certainly a designer's tool and production managers friend, but it's much, much more.

iQ Pro is an enterprise advertising management system and this comes back to the fact that Websend is a centralised system that everyone can use and collaborate with at the same time.

Account managers can be logged in to check where ads are, when they were placed and when they were received.

Production managers can create job tickets for designers who can make changes to those tickets and attach and send artwork - at the same time.
